Why didn’t you just copy/paste your other comment about the age of my account?
I’m clearly not discouraging voting… well at least not for people who can think.

Phew, aren’t you lucky my account isn’t 2 days older, you would need help counting that high.
Voting does matter, just not if you are so daft that you keep voting the same aholes in regardless of how they perform.
“framing climate change as a security and economic threat” is a very logical way to try to get capitalists to give a damn.
“Senator Sheldon Whitehouse” The country is clearly just a cartoon
Voting for ‘the lesser evil’ is what continues the status quo, it keeps duopolies in power around the world, it definitely isn’t just a usa issue.
If people are willing and capable of seeing the duopoly as one entity, they realise that the duopoly never loses… that doesn’t sound very democratic, because it isn’t, duopolies are a right wing con.
Democracies have better choices, but so many countries just keep voting ‘the lesser evil’, and ‘evil’ in continuously.
Either that or y’all just political party fans, who refuse to admit that the usa is public enemy #1 because of your duopoly.
I’m thankfully not from anywhere near that place, but I always assumed a lot of people there feel that their vote won’t improve their lives… so it remains a duopoly that rarely ever improves their lives.

Any ‘good’ party cannot support zuckerberg, or musk. That is one of the ‘obstacles’ for good, it has to play by rules/have standards. The other parties do not need to have any standards, so they have the upper hand ie: the alp being pedophile and genocide supporters, one nation buying off bogans with cheaper cigarettes.
I have never received junk mail in a letterbox from the greens, but always get a plethora of it from the trash parties.

Why would anyone decent bankroll meta?

steam needs ‘no ai’ as a setting
Get back to me when you need to replace your ram :P
One of the reasons I went with AM4 was platform maturity, at the time AM5 was new (launched sept 2022).
My prices are in aud btw (if you didn’t notice).
Bigger number better is also not how I do things, and it isn’t the direction that tech should have moved.
My choices of a 5700x and a 6800 (non xt) were very deliberate due to performance/efficiency. I could have easily gone to a x3d and a higher end graphics card.
I have no regrets about what I chose, aside from I should have just gone with a b series board, and maybe a different case, I wanted a non glass case that could hold at least 3 hdd’s, and (at least in Australia) that was more difficult than it should have been, due ot silly people and their silly lights = glass sided cases being the norm. I ended up with a Be Quiet Silent Base 802, which is okay, but could be better, and could be smaller (I should have originally bought 2x 8,10, 02 12Tb hdd’s, instead of 3x 6Tb)
Multiple reasons at the time, most of which I don’t remember, one of them was wanting higher speed usb-c which wasn’t available on a lot of other boards, in hindsight it would have been better, and cheaper to get a pci-e to usb-c card. The board also has the error code read out, a thunderbolt add in card connector, WiFi 6E, 4 x m.2s.
There was/is also the potential to replace the cpu with an x3d. Although the 5700x was a very deliberate choice and I am happy with it. I was never planning on moving to am5.
mobo was a weird buy anyway though, but does make me wonder what the options and prices are like now for am4 systems. Maybe they will start releasing new boards, or rerelease old ones…
I only built my am4 system at the end of 2022, it’s new, not old :P
The way things are going it may end up with some of my sodimm in it by 2030
The history of the usa points out the problems with both parties. The usa is war on earth.
