They feed the leftovers to livestock when they do so though so you both may be right.

Unfortunately I live in the deep woods in the upper midwest US, the closest Aldi is 40 miles away, there is a cheaper store that does not carry it maybe 12 mles off. Even Aldi and the large dominant supermarket chain are expensive for what it is though, about 2 dollars now for a pound or so.

It’s just not popular enough to have lower prices here, although aldi should be the same regardless idk. But pound for pound, it takes more tofu than meat to get full, so it’s not a 1 to 1 comparison on price.

I would have to make it to get a good price, after finding human grade soybeans not full of pesticides, and it’s an involved process judging by the video I saw on how they traditionally make it in East Asia.

Soy boy is an insult here, as to the lack of popularity keeping prices higher. It’s South America, what do you expect.

Too bad there isn’t a good source of tofu in most grocer markets. Soy is one of the most suspect crops, with pesticides and such to start, and there just aren’t many buying options, and they are all expensive-er than they should be.

A pound is like a couple of bucks, but a pound isn’t that much really. Making your own isn’t really practicable, I saw a video on how they make it traditionally in East Asia and it’s a big thing with many steps.

You can’t be serious right? Right?

I can only think of negative things that could result frankly. WTF.

In Mexico, all the dogs looked the same, kind of like this as I recall.

This does also look like a red bone coonhound in part to me though but not sure.

Looks like part red bone coon hound perhaps.

The oligarchs are using porn, and specifically child abuse, to get total control of everything said and done, to create secret social scores to be used against us.

Newsom is a fucking cunt.

I’ve seen spanish language posts on lemmy, not that many but I’m not looking so idk.

Did you know they spray pfas on the inside of those paper coffee cups?

That’s bad by the way.

They are all now shit if you don’t pay for it. Pof, okcupid, they are garbage. They used to work while silicon valley was still in it’s growth phase, hen enshitified when they entered the maximizing revenue phase, which started perhaps a bit earlier with dating sites than other sectors like search engines.

Wait, so I should download something in addition to ublock with firefox? I don’t think I see youtube commercials, I only watch a few shows on there and don’t see any ads already lately at least. So it’s the app or whatever on the tv or delivering the youtube to the tv that is advertising?

The stock market is insanely overpriced and due for a downturn. Maybe the US government will bail them all out again, but already 40 trillion in the hole, probably close to 50 by 2028 even without a crisis, and the indigestion in the bond markets right now, would give me pause in dumping cash into the market now.

It’s also helping to prop up the worst companies in the world. And managers of the funds take a big cut despite not doing better than random choices, or a monkey throwing shit against a list of stocks to choose. Seriously.

Without money health suffers. It’s a balance.

There are northern strains of tobacco that grow in scandanavia even, for the non aussies.

Best to quit tobacco and just enjoy the weed. If you can not get caught.

Everyone that isn’t a tool already realizes the differences between causation and correlation.

Granted those that realize this already are not perhaps even a majority now int eh US.

2x here. It did come finally just this year.

Who does the author think they are kidding? Not us, this wasn’t texas political hacks now realizing they were engaged in graft, they fucking knew, and were paid off and we all know it by now.
