The right as a whole didn’t do anything either. Entities don’t exist as wholes, rather as sporadic collections of people
I think you underestimate how gullible people on our own side are as well, too.
The left basically encouraged and egged on child rape as liberatory in the 1970s and only stopped because public opinion didn’t go their way
