Since I learned that I can edit configuration files in many games to lower graphics beyond what the game settings allow, so that I can run even recent releases in my low end pc, I don’t plan to buy new hardware even for gaming (yes, the visuals will have lower quality, but these days, with all the shit happening around me, I don’t even care anymore. Besides, they’re usually not that bad)

Looks absurd, but I’m sure a lot of people will pay for it and next year we will have news about apple getting record profits

I reduced power usage significantly by running a small e-ink monitor for reading/writing and office tasks. It uses so little energy that I can’t even notice a difference in the power meter.

Also, for the people that keep the pc on most of the time, you’re probably going to have the same overall experience if you activate auto suspend
