I got all worried and updated (I basically never do) and then went to put in my password to log back in and then go searching for payload files and whatever, and wouldn’t you know it I was smart as shit and made the password tell me in no uncertain terms that I changed it for exactly that problem! Could stop worrying!
I did it because I was annoyed at having to do it I’m sure, but man it turns out that was a great idea!
Hmm… if it’s alive, how do you wash it? Or do you just water it and let it eat your dead skin and body oils as nutrients…?
I don’t think I like that at all.
(And yes I did read… about half of this, and skimmed the rest looking for an answer. It’s only about how it works and how it’s made, i don’t think they considered that practicality at all for this research, but I may have missed it)
There is a bit about glycerol-plasticization and the chemical solvent resistance resulting, but I’m not really sure how well that translates to household clothes washing, nor the mechanical stresses involved.
All in all very cool, but making clothing from it doesn’t really sound super practical at this point, to me.
I got a dress with pockets the other day. I bought it specifically because it has pockets. Its not my style aesthetically but its my style functionally!
Sadly its made of the sort of fabric that hangs heavy and stretches nicely (a type of fabric I actually love), probably a 4-way knit with spandex blend, which means if I use the pockets for much of anything, it pulls down and looks not great because it clings to every single bit of body under it
Still, good place for hands to go so I can show off that it has pockets!!! 😜
This was my last dumbphone, I still have it in a box somewhere. It had the nicest glide! It would snap between open and closed, very satisfying. Also it was tiny tiny.
God I miss slide out keyboards. They were so tactile and nice. I had a sony experia pro for a while many many years ago, it was the last slide keyboard I could find that wasn’t a Bluetooth case. Was very sad when flashing roms borked my governator chip and it could never be off the charger again… (it had an issue with upgrading and then downgrading, so playing with different roms was a bad idea)
