Make clarified butter and use it to fry shit (not literally).
Make a fuckton of caramel and speedrun diabetes.

Aluminium, probably, so it should be fine

Energy that reduces pollution and costs a fraction of fossil fuels? Not on my watch!

In some capacity, yes. English is my second language and I noticed it feels different (sometimes) to say or think something in it as opposed to my native language.
I found that sometimes my brain prefers thinking something in English because it feels more detached than doing it in my native language.

I see two forces working in that direction.
One is advertisements. If you run a social media platform or website or anything similar, and hope to display ads, you better not show anything they don’t want associated with their brand.
The second is the rise of political movements (you know which ones) that have nothing better to offer than “modesty” and “traditional values” (whatever that means) as ways to fix the issues society faces.

China is definitely pushing on renewables and battery tech, and that’s good.
It must be said it’s not purely done out of concern for the planet, there’s lots of strategic thinking about it regarding energy independence given that China imports a lot of oil.

That’s what I find infuriating. The green transition is underway despite the opposition of many in various governments. Imagine what could be done with some real political will behind it

I don’t feel that this matters much.
As something that uses statistics to generate its output, AI creates stuff that’s average, and so appealing to the masses. It’s not much different from mediocre books churned out by publishers chasing sales instead of art.
It’s the McDonald’s of art. Is it ok? Sure. Will it change your life? No fucking way.
