Same. Been here since the mass exodus and I deleted my account. I would still browse old.reddit without an account. That worked fine until a week or so ago. Been kinda looking at the new site but I hate it so much. Also the comment quality is absolute ass. I need to just be done with it.

I don’t think copying is theft either. But making money off something you copied totally is.
The people they’ve hired into these positions either know nothing about how the internet works or they just don’t give a shit. I remember this interview from years ago and the fucking CEO of AI at Microsoft thought it was just fine to scrap everything on the web because it’s “publicly available”.
People that have ran websites since the beginning have always wanted to protect what they put out there and keep people from stealing their content. It feels like this guy just got some degrees and became CEO without ever being on the internet.
What’s really sad is Copilot was originally an accessibility feature Xbox rolled out to pair two controllers together. It came out right around the time the Xbox Adaptive Controller did. It’s a wonderful feature that has now been completely overshadowed by their AI platform.
