Dying is not a requirement to not pass on genes, and a huge percentage of the population is susceptible to mental illness based on stress or another trigger. If this person was abused growing up that may have caused a mental illness they would have never had in a healthy family. Someone living with mental illness is hard enough, we don’t need gaslighting lying chatbots making it worse.
I mean, I would vastly prefer your solution, but it’s much more difficult to step in and police every social media company such that they aren’t working against the user. This is basically a band aid, but a band aid is better than nothing imo
