  • People spent decades preventing wildfires. Fires are a natural part of ecological systems. Overgrowth and a build up of litter cause more intense fires and increase their ability to spread. In northern regions, people were also preventing beavers from doing their thing that helps reduce wildfire spread. At least in Florida we pioneered controlled burns to simulate nature and save lives.
