alignment isn’t enough because of how goddamn bright they are now. they need to be limited in output.

alignment isn’t enough because of how goddamn bright they are now. they need to be limited in output.

as I hear it, no, they don’t. they work very well in one environment, a smooth highway. as I hear it, they don’t work in urban areas or with non-vehicles
regardless, they’re reactive, which means they still blind drivers momentarily. not good enough.

speed bumps are distracting and pull driver’s attention from their surroundings, result in people accelerating loudly from bump to bump, create inconsistent traffic from people constantly accelerating and decelerating, are annoying on bikes when implemented poorly, slow down emergency vehicles, are annoying for everyone when somebody is pulling a trailer, are annoying for drivers who aren’t even speeding, create difficulty plowing…
a camera is just there and fines the owner of the vehicle

unfortunately nobody else’s recommendations have worked so I sat there rewatching several shots over and over again with different settings lol

Oh yeah my LG OLED TV is fantastic for picture quality. although I’m still getting used to judder, and don’t know how to fix that on panning shots. no combination of settings seem to work for me.
but I bought that before the sound system and before I had first-hand experience of how few fucks LG gave about me as a customer

yep. there’s a route I drive regularly that has hills and turns. it’s so fucking dangerous at night because of these assholes with blinding headlights.

I was so ready to post a “bright headlights solution is coming” // “look inside” // “it’s just fucking adaptive headlights again” meme until that paragraph
this actually offers some hope

no they don’t and stop with that fucking bullshit propaganda

I just do that with my brake lights now. have yet to wire up a switch to my reverse lights

cool, but not effective enough at addressing the problem and useless when pointed at anything other than a vehicle

uhhh what phones have you been using? I think I’ve been able to do all of that (except for RAW, never tried) on every android I’ve had since 2012

they did this to my two year old soundbar a year ago, which made the entire 5.1 setup useless since it’s all driven by the soundbar

also don’t buy LG, as they design devices that will brick themselves with no way to recover the firmware and will simply tell you you’re shit out of luck

yeah I still can’t believe these got banned in Ontario. so much more effective and safe in school zones than speed bumps or artificial lane narrowing
although fines should have been raised, like all vehicle fines, to a % of income/wealth
and I will admit that I don’t know how you ensure that they don’t become like Flock

excellent writeup
but nothing new. just lazy cops being lazy, seems like.
how many infractions before they get fired and blacklisted?
okay, so you’re just an asshole. you’d rather blind other drivers than have less but still sufficient light to see. that makes you an asshole.
