social democrats like ziohran serve a very important part in maintaining imperialism. i don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that he moves anything towards revolution. zionism might be unpopular, but i don’t think anyone is gonna be rioting over this who wasn’t already rioting. far more likely is he does his superprofit-funded grocery stores and pacifies the labor movement and that’s that. it would be one thing if he were gonna agitate over the things he can’t achieve, but he prefers to agitate against the left. i don’t think mamdani is historically progressive or good for the movement.
