So, I’ve been trying to drum up activity over in c/RWBY (mostly by posting art) and someone suggested cross-posting to relevant communities, which I’ve been doing, only now I’m starting to second-guess the way I’ve been doing it.
Should I be cross-posting right away, or waiting some amount of time before doing so? And how long should that wait be, if I should wait?
Sourced from Pixiv. One of SYTOkun’s earlier work but I still like it. In general I love all the old fan designs for Summer’s weapon(s) from before we got her official one.
Artist has their own site. Random page of their Dumb RWBY series, which the artist is no longer doing but there’s a few dozen pages to enjoy.
Also apparently the artist is an active speedrunner and just ran A Link To The Past for Flame Fatales (GDQ), which is what reminded me of their work.
Was posted to DeviantArt, thankfully.
Artist’s original commentary:
I forgot to post this lol. The redesign was done for a fanfic/rewrite by Celtic Phoenix where Vernal is Raven’s second daughter.
Some may be familiar with this rewrite project as it seems to have a lot of haters online – I’m hoping the art is good enough that people can appreciate it apart from that.
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, had to recover from an 11½ hour Monday.
Just posted to Pixiv yesterday, surprising me. There was also a Weiss pic posted on the same day but I’ll post that some other time.
Sourced from Pixiv but I think this was also on Deviantart.
Sourced from Tumblr this time. There’s a lot of fun sketches and rarepairs from dashingicecream but tumblr is difficult to navigate for a tourist like me and since I’ve yet to look into how to post multiple images in a post here’s a single standalone meme redraw.
sourced from Artstation this time b/c I don’t know where to easily find their other galleries. Grayscale and original color scheme at the link.
Dishwasher1910 is one of the legendary fanartists of the RWBY community, now no longer making RWBY content (to my knowledge). There were a number of these RWBY 3.0 AU pieces they did, I’ll try to sporadically post them in case newer fans haven’t seen them. They also tried to write a fanfic but they’re ESL and it is rough trying to read.
Personally, as someone who has had to follow friends and friend groups through Skype, Telegram, and Discord when I didn’t have any of those things, I am perfectly fine making them do the fucking legwork to follow me this time.
