I’m pretty sure this is yet another example of the wealthy vs everybody else situation, so some of the Democrats succumb to bribery, campaign donations from corporate “constituents”. I like to think there are more Democrats with a sense of civic duty than there are Republicans. This is why paying attention to the actual candidate’s pitch and history is important. Don’t vote “party line”.
More permissive siting policies can legitimately be hard choices for the greater benefit of the community. Seek nuance when evaluating such policies.

Interesting, I’ll check it out. I don’t think the AI we have now is inherently evil, but it’s good to not necessarily be forced to use it.
