He is basically saying that they knew what scammers (not pirates, literal scammers) were doing to their consumers, and they not just allowed it, but incentivized them to scam people by selling them legit boxes. Or, in other words, they straight up made a partnership with scammers, becoming scammers themselves, in order to profit from the whole scheme. That’s actually fucked up! And the article title is a hell of a reality bending.
I can’t say I understand the expectations of the head of these gaming studios nowadays. I mean, I know they are toxic as hell, but even then… The game has just released to justify layoffs. If anything, they should’ve vetted the project from the very beginning (at least I don’t see the point of a new remaster of Halo CE, specially after a suppose rebranding).
I will wait the inevitable expansion DLC, hoping they will also take the opportunity to fix the game performance. And even then, I will probably still wait for a sale (at least for the base game), specially considering it uses Denuvo (which I strongly oppose).
