Well, the only thing I would ever want to use for doing math is a mech pencil. It’s the only tolerable thing.
Although I occasionally use whatever I find laying around.

I’m more into simpler mech. pencils (like the older Staedler ones). I got a 30-40 year old one from my dad and it still works perfectly (I just had to clean the internals multiple times).
