They have their own AI, but it’s an eyesore that undermines searching in a mobile browser. They added it after an update further deteriorated the Reddit App experience.
So they:
And that’s within the last year or so.

Another reason to switch to Android/GrapheneOS.
Unfortunate that the plan is to go public. Ideally the people who run it would be valued as stewards and curators instead of interchangeable cogs.
I hope to see one of these DIY platforms eventually become a cooperative.

I am selling a used piece of gum for cheap: only $50 million! Buy now while supplies last.

Then why is the commenter above me saying they did? Listen, this whole conversation seems to be going nowhere.
I don’t think anyone here is really saying anything about Swedish politics. (It’s a country much smaller than the USA.) I keep receiving nonsense counter-factuals. I’m withholding judgement until someone links proof that they’re actually interested in committing genocide.

The Nazis were bad because they did the holocaust and tried to conquer Europe, not because they expanded the safety net and gave their citizens healthcare.
I’m just asking how they’re considered right wing.

Like, he has his own bodyguards or security agency?
(My understanding is it’s a local political party that operates in one town.)

How is the Mullvad guy far right? I thought the Örebro Party was a Marxist party focused on expanding socialized services, like expanding healthcare, reducing costs for public transport, shortening the work week while keeping full pay, etc.

You’ll need your own storage to backup before erasing and turning it in, but they probably know that and will factor that in for a fee.
“Rent X months, get an SSD with your backup for free when you cancel your subscription.”
They’ll likely try to upsell you on iCloud services as well. Your entire life will be digitized and uploaded into the cloud, onto some corporate computer somewhere.
My issue with this is that you can often get a cheap laptop used, and major cities often have libraries that rent laptops to residents, if needed. And paying your library is cheaper than paying Apple, plus the money goes to the local library.📚

You can’t even acknowledge that Flock sends police to people’s houses as a business model and lets them be stalked by law enforcement?
Facebook’s business model is also bad, but every time I mention the company the post is about, you change goalposts. Facebook is optional.
Flock can’t be opted out of and has to be actively protested. You have to voice your concern at town hall to stop Flock.

Facebook isn’t in contract to track citizens for cops. It does so digitally for ad agencies, but not physically for the police.
The difference is pretty stark and as bad as giving your data to Facebook is, Flock is an immediate threat that we can see and interact with. There are no Facebook street cameras capturing license plates.

It’s still important for people to have access to used goods and Facebook is one of a few platforms that provides that for free and has a large enough user base that you can find what you need.
We should work to either innovate or partner with Chinese manufacturers when it comes to EV technology.
