And yet, as I consider the expected event, I feel … well … “depressed” is the word.

Hiya mods! The men’s World Cup is once again upon us which means that drunken soccer fans have spilled out of containment and into our streets and online communities. If this is fun for you and your community, wonderful! It is (ostensibly) a tournament for the whole world, and lots of different communities are likely to want to have different kinds of discussions about it. I will also mention the great folks over at !football@sopuli.xyz , which is the best general soccer community I’ve seen in my time in the threadiverse (and there have been many), though I won’t speak on their behalf, in case they don’t want a big influx of people who seem to mostly want to post about how much Trump’s World Cup sucks (valid).
