GamePass is killing Microsoft? I don’t think so. And Xbox is not a company. The company that own Xbox is Microsoft.

It’s weird how different this hits, here in Denmark our household has felt literally nothing. We drive electric, and consume zero oil/gas as a household. And prices of groceries have remained stable.
80% of new car sales in Denmark are electric. So I bet the situation for most here is similar. Norway and Sweden is the same, and other countries that have relatively low dependence on oil probably don’t feel it much either.
On paper the shortage on oil now is as bad as it was during the oil crisis in the 70’s. Where it was forbidden to drive cars on Sundays, and every other street light was turned off.
But this time, most Scandinavians barely notice.
But of course if this continues it will have an impact on the global economy, and that will hit us all.

Not in EU, Eu has given fines to those big tech companies before and can do it again.

I absolutely agree that that agreement is complete and utter bullshit.
Hopefully the shift there has been to achieve IT independence from USA will mean EU doesn’t give in so easy next time.

they can also avoid sending proprietary data to systems controlled by outside providers.
Not only proprietary but also personal or other kinds of sensitive data.
If you are doing health research on databases of personal health data, you should be able to guarantee the safety of that data.
That means you can’t use the current American systems, because they’ve been shown to be insecure.
This would be a major issue in EU, where such data is legally protected.

It’s the chance of a life time, they will never get another chance of losing that much money again.

The Oracle credit rating is literally one step away from “Junk”!
So at least regarding Oracle, the finance world is onto them.
Just a few days ago Oracle was reduced from BBB to BBB-.

Well done China! 👍
It’s an absolute disgrace the lack of help there is to Cuba from the rest of the world, with a humanitarian crisis caused by the US blockade, for absolutely no reason!! What USA is doing is a crime against humanity, And the whole world is just silent about it?! 🤮

But why does it take another 5 months to give the actual sentence? That’s a ridiculous amount of time, and apparently quite common!!
I surely don’t miss any aspect of physical media, although I can see how it’s great for for instance swapping games.
On the other hand I can have as many books ready to read at any time on my phone as I want.
Most of my games are on Steam and GOG, and I find that way more convenient than having a wall of old discs to search if I want to play an older game.
Yes that’s what the headline should have reflected.
