Patches are showing up in the repos now. Ondrej and ubuntu 24.04 have them live now.

Haha, no idea if there was ever an association between the two, possible but not likely lol.

It’s a fascinating book. I look at it with heavy skepticism but at the end I think there are some accusations that could be plausible and likely do occur, not so much for others. We now have seen evidence of certain fungal networks aiding root systems and establishing a level of very primitive communication, which also has its own critics as well Mycorrhizal network. So back to the book, i think some of the testing done in the 60s and 70s was more abstract art than evidence based science, but ultimately it does lead you to question whether the statements and findings could be true. Either way I found it a fascinating read, especially for someone that enjoys getting their hands dirty in the earth.

So many, but this one has always fascinated me.

The Secret Life of Plants (1973)

It is, i also use the gemma4b model on it for description generation for my immich photos and its super fast.

if its on zfs, you can do zfs snapshots using send and receive, which can handle encrypted incremental snapshots which cuts down on bandwidth and without having the remote drive mounted, which I found useful for an offsite system in case someone picks it up and walks away with it. There are also automated tools to handle it too if you don’t want to write your own backup scripts, see sanoid/syncoid

Yah doing similar on 5060ti.

Ha thats good to know. I just retired several hgst sata drives that had greater than 85k hours on them, no errors in them, just thought I was pushing it and taking a chance. Thanks for sharing!

I have had luck with this ebay store…hoping this doesn’t blow up too much as the prices are still pretty reasonable. But just to note, these are used drives with 20K+ hours on them…SMART data provided for every drive sold. Good luck!

Lol, yep pretty much my reaction as well. It was during spring break so I assume it was for a prop or to make a scene at a party but yep, my jaw was dropped driving by it. Young dude had a beanie on and sun shades living his best life rolling down the interstate at 70mph lol. Wild.

Driving down the interstate, saw a sedan that had its roof removed/cut off and the bow of a boat added to it lol. The windshield was from the boat. 😂

Hahaha that description is hilarious. Goodwill has some nice clothes so no need to sell yourself short lmao.

Thanks!

Well now its “really” obvious when you spell it out lol.

Huh, what gives it away? I missed it on this one

Ahh 10-4. Humm didn’t know that existed.

I can’t help, but commenting for visibility because I think this is clever. Cheers and good luck!

I don’t think you can pick your exit node, can you?

Ha and I feel yah on the frustration. Congrats on getting it setup and working! Cheers.
