Holy shit where do they find the dumbasses who write these columns?
I’m coming to the view that the Online Right is going wrong, eschewing compassion or charm, talking itself into corners of angry irrelevance.
Better late than never I suppose.
The transformation of a tangible ecological crisis into a culture-war abstraction can be pinned on the Left. They framed it as a divine chastisement; they wallowed in its penance, imposing arbitrary deadlines and contrary measures that, in an act of pure self-flagellation, took nuclear off the table.
Oh, so it’s those darn woke LEFTIST LIBRULS who are actually to blame.
I stopped reading the column here so I couldn’t tell you if it gets even stupider.
It’s the Telegraph. The whole thing is a pile of half-assed right-wing nonsense. It’s what happens when a middlebrow Tory propaganda broadsheet dumbs itself right down for the internet in the age of MAGA.
The right is not going to get serious about it. This article is a waste of electrons, genuinely. It’s a canonical example of shouting into a hurricane.
Why the fuck do journalists write shit like this? It’s deeply fucking stupid. It’s like trying to have a reasoned debate with a polar bear on why he shouldn’t eat leopard seals because they’re endangered or something like that. The bear isn’t going to care, but he is going to try to take a bite out of you.
Ackshually polar bears don’t eat leopard seals because leopard seals only live in the Antarctic.
They write these so that their journalist friends to their slight left don’t get mad at them for using slurs
We are going to burn down the Earth not because we are left or right, but by believing the propaganda that science is wrong and everything is going to be OK.
I almost cant believe how smoky it is in my town right now. Smells like I’m standing in a fire pit.
I live in the west. And I’ve never seen it this smoky. It’s usually in the hundreds every year for awhile. But the air REALLY sucks this year
Oof that sucks, I’m sorry. We have only had a few smoky days here in the Midwest.
Lots of things are, but the right doesn’t usually care. In fact, they don’t seem to account for reality much at all.
