2 daysThey haven’t fired Anthony Enzor-DeMeo, yet, have they? If not then it’s just another slop project.

I saw it earlier today and loved it! Reminded me of how my friends and I would bypass our school’s blocks on Ebaumsworld just to watch the Numa Numa guy. Also Kelly (the “Shoes” guy) looks exactly the same

Do you have uBlock Origin?
Nostalgic AF. Honestly, though, uBO (desktop and mobile) is the killer feature of FF over Chrome. Haven’t touched Chrome in years.

Which is great, for sure. But, additionally, I’m unwilling to go back to a single engine ecosystem, especially not one with Google’s hands on it. I still remember coding around IE6. 😅

2 daysGoogle funds Firefox so it has their hands on it anyway. And Mozilla has proven to be a poor steward of Firefox anyway. I’m just not so sure one is better than the other anymore.
I’ll readily admit FF has problems. But it’s most definitely MHO that Google is far, far more evil. It’s not clear why they fund FF other than the antitrust angle.

Yes but Google doesn’t have any say over features Mozilla implements. However yes, Mozilla has been going in the wrong direction entirely without Google’s involvement for a while now. But it’s still better than supporting Google’s ecosystem.

I know helium is a chromium browser and maintains their own manifest v3 fork of Ublock, but it might be temporary.

No, ublock origin actually has specialized features that in-browser adblockers don’t replicate.

2 daysIt’s not impossible. mv3 pertains to extensions and, as I said, it’s not an extension, it’s built natively into the browser.
