Four New Hampshire Republican state legislators attended the ‘50 States, One Israel’ conference in September 2025, with flights, luxury hotels, meals, and tours paid for by the Israeli government. The trip was valued at $6,500 per attendee. New Hampshire ethics rules limit gifts from a single source to $50. The New Hampshire Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East has filed a formal ethics complaint against Senate Ways and Means Chairman Tim Lang, Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chairman Kevin Avard, House Judiciary Chairman Robert Lynn, and House Housing Chairman Joe Alexander. Sharon Racusin, an organizer with the coalition, said: ‘For them to just go there with blinders on and not think that anybody was going to say, Wait a minute, there’s a genocide going on and you’re having a good time eating, drinking. It’s absolutely shocking.’ Mohammad Dana, a Palestinian-American resident of Dover, said: ‘Their duty is not to go over to Israel to lobby for them and cover up for them and be a PR representative for the Israeli government. Their job is here in New Hampshire to help their constituents.’ Senator Lang said the complaint is a political ploy and that he is confident they will be exonerated. A similar complaint against five Vermont lawmakers was dismissed by that state’s House Ethics Panel earlier this year.
