    Except the proceeds of a purposeful carbon tax could be used to fund alternative energy projects, but this accidental carbon tax is only going to line the pockets of the shareholders.

    Never doubt the Trump administration’s ability to mishandle its own policy goals.

    With the most powerful military on the planet, they literally managed to turn over the Persian Gulf to Iran and Red Sea to the Houthis. At this pace, I’m convinced they could lose the Florida Keys to Cuba after attacking Havana, and as a resident of Florida, I don’t look forward to Shahed drone attacks.

    Fuel was $1.46/l when all the assholes were flying FUCK TRUDEAU flags in Canada.

    Now at $1.80/L, haven’t seen a single FUCK TRUMP flag.

        And they can’t even do that yet. They have to vote to have a referendum in October first, then assuming they vote yes and Alberta wins the legal challenges, they can have another referendum on actually separating from Canada.

    In addition to the wars driving up fossil fuel prices, as the article points out, the US’s tariffs are also focused most strongly on auto parts and materials. That is, effectively a car tax.
