Have you met a student who barely attended classes in college even if they’re enrolled?

Of course, many. But university doesn’t cost a kidney here.

I had an issue with a prof once. It was about October, so we’d completed some assignments but had a ways to go. Prof. was giving a lecture on a serious topic involving genocide. I was only 1/2 paying attention and was on social media. I, sitting in the back row, smiled at something. Prof. noticed, glared at me, and asked if I thought [genocide-related topic] was funny. A) I got very offended. As if I’m the only person in the entire class who is ever on social media while she talked. B) I felt the prof. was inappropriately hostile. I did not feel comfortable attending class for the remainder of the semester, so I didn’t.
