Hey everyone! I’m thinking about jumping into Guild Wars 2, but I’m a bit nervous about starting solo. I’m worried I’ll end up leveling entirely by myself without finding people to play with along the way, and that the endgame might feel kind of empty population-wise once I get there.
I’m planning to start as Free to Play, but I’ve seen a few videos mentioning there are some restrictions on the F2P version. Is it actually that limiting, or is it fine to get a real feel for the game before deciding to buy? Also, is the game still active in general?
One more thing: is it possible to avoid buying the expansions/DLCs altogether, or are they pretty much necessary at some point? If I do need one eventually, which one would you recommend getting first?
Would love to hear from people who started recently or veterans !
