I love the Bluefin project, but JC’s YouTube channel has been posting some pretty confusing AF stuff.

Maybe a short explanation would help understand what we are talking about here.
Is it an OS? Is it a docker image? What does it do? Is it FOSS? Who writes it? Why is announced in advance?

According to its Github page seems to be a container-oriented Linux distro, like Flatcar / Fedore CoreOS / Talos Linux.
The linked website is AI-generated so ofc it doesn’t say anything useful up front.

2 monthsWhat are you talking about? This isn’t an AI article; it’s about a server OS/infrastructure platform.
Yes, you could use Bluefin Server to run AI workloads, they mention it because it’s container focused. But that’s not what makes something an AI related post. Where do you draw that line otherwise? Would a keyboard review need an AI tag because you could use the keyboard to type a prompt?
It’s not my project either so I have no idead if or where LLM’s are being used.

Having read previous Bluefin announcements, the Bluefin maintainers have fully embraced LLMs, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they made extensive use of them for Bluefin Server.

2 monthsThere are rules and whoever post, must add the ai tags. But more than that, I find low effort posts like this one do not contribute to the community and are frankly human slop.
At least take the time to write a few lines on what this is and why we should bother click the link.
That will go long way toward a useful post.

First contributor is Copilot. I don’t mind, but it should be stated, as per rules. The link being an article about the one project does not make your post escaping the rule.
Reported.

2 monthsFair enough, tag added. I hadn’t realised the rule extended to AI assisted contributions in third-party projects I’m merely linking to.Didn’t occur to me to dig into the projects repo. Hence my comment with it not being my project.I get it though vibe coded projects have become an issue it’s just that it was a broader disclosure requirement than I expected, so I’ll bear it in mind.
