Soldier Kostiantyn Tumak, pseudonym Psyk, died on June 26, 2025, during a combat mission near the village of Novoukrainka in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region. He was 22 years old.
Kostiantyn was born on January 22, 2003, in the village of Stratiivka in the Haisyn district of the Vinnytsia region. After graduating from local school, he obtained a qualification as a locksmith in a vocational school. He completed his compulsory service in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He worked as a driver. He loved driving cars. In his free time, he loved relaxing with friends.
During the full-scale invasion, at the beginning of February 2025, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of UAV operator in the unmanned aerial vehicles and complexes unit of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.
“The best brother in the world, who always supported me. He always took care of everyone,” wrote his sister Oleksandra.
Kostiantyn Tumak was posthumously awarded the Order of the “Cross of Heroism.”
The defender was buried in his native Stratiivka.
He is survived by his mother Iryna, and sisters Oleksandra, Olha, and Aliftina.
